Where Windsor's Traditions
Meet Modern Hospitality

Honouring Windsor's past. Hosting its future.

Supporting Britain's last surviving licensed horse-drawn
Hackney Carriage tradition through carefully curated experiences,
expert planning and generations of local knowledge.

For more than 175 years, Windsor Carriages has cared for one of Britain's last surviving licensed horse-drawn Hackney Carriage traditions, continuing a story that began with Windsor's first Hackney licences in 1687.

As Windsor has evolved, so too has the way this living tradition is shared. Changing roads, royal security, visitor expectations and modern standards of horse welfare mean that operating historic horses and carriages within today's Windsor requires far more than a coachman alone.

It requires thoughtful planning, trusted relationships, local expertise and exceptional hospitality.

That is why Treadgold Brock was created.

Working alongside Windsor Carriages, we design and host private visits that allow guests to experience Windsor in ways few others can.

Every itinerary is individually curated, every detail carefully considered, and every experience built around the stories, landscapes and traditions that make Windsor unlike anywhere else.

The carriage is no longer simply the destination. It has become one chapter within a richer, more immersive experience of Windsor.

OUR ROLE

We bring together heritage, hospitality and logistics so that historic traditions can continue to thrive in the modern world.

Whether welcoming international visitors, supporting private families, hosting corporate guests or coordinating overseas carriage teams, we quietly manage every detail behind the scenes, allowing our guests to simply enjoy the day.

Living Heritage

We work alongside Windsor Carriages, custodians of Britain's last surviving licensed horse-drawn Hackney Carriage tradition, helping ensure generations of knowledge continue to be shared with future visitors.

For some visits, this looks intimate and familial. For others, it extends to estate luncheons, team gatherings up to 96 guests, or occasions held beneath the oaks. However it takes shape, your experience is guided, coordinated, and cared for, so you can remain present, rather than managing the details.

Thank you for all the careful planning and patience. Our clients were absolutely delighted"
